Don't fix what's not Baroque

So... anyone else pick up the latest import, courtesy of Atlus USA?

Image Image
(My purchase of choice)

Baroque (which is an updated port of an earlier Saturn/PS1 title that I also own) is, to be sure, one of the most bizarre games I have ever played.

(Intro here)

Are you familiar with most video game plots being clearly spelled out for you? The story in Baroque is both vague and difficult to grasp; plot ...

The Saga of the Raiders of the Citadel

Wow, haven't been to this section of the board in a very, very long time.

Alright so as a bunch of you already know it is my pleasure to be DMing an offline RP at the moment featuring a few other board members (Jak Snide, and former posters Sorbus and Kraken), along with a couple of other players. This is the third time or so we've tried to form a D&D game, and it seems ...

Werewolf?

I've been poking around with my Werewolf: The Apocalypse book recently, and I feel like it might be fun to run a game. However, past experience tells me that no one's interested in taking part in such a game. Is that still true?

Some notes: If I ran a Werewolf game, I wouldn't use Derlium, or else I'd tone it down greatly. It's overpowered and ridiculous. 80% of the human population shouldn't be neutralized just ...

Hammer and Anvil

On this day, as on so many others, a call had gone out to adventurous souls for a mission of importance to the crown. So it was that a group of some half dozen people found themselves seated in a small conference room within Doma Castle. On the table before them sat a small, locked chest, and across from them were seated a Guard lieutennant and a priest of Falis. The priest kept glancing at ...

To Forget Is Divine

This isn't necessarily about an RP, but it does concern itself with our here world at large.

Can the gods forget? Maybe not Ishtar in her absolutely divinity, but the more...specialized gods perhaps? Those of you with or formerly with god characters could weigh in perhaps...

So.

Yeah.

On an unrelated note, not to say 'I told you so', but...The food fight forum was a terrible abortion of a subforum. :(

On another unrelated note, I need to say "Fuckblender" more often.

Archaeology at Stonehenge!

Dig Begins at Stonehenge Site

April 1, 2008 -- Some of England's most sacred soil was disturbed for the first time in more than four decades as archaeologists worked to solve the enduring riddle of Stonehenge: When and why was the prehistoric monument built?

The excavation project, which started Monday and is set to last until April 11, is designed to unearth materials that can be used to establish a firm date for when the ...
