Posting this in OOC since most of the chatting seems to be RP-related nowadays: I just had about a 15 minute test chat with Bes and Shaun, and not a single "Remove the web address" error popped up for any of us in that timespan. Not definitive, of course, but that's the longest I've been able to chat since last Wednesday. So things seem to be working all right now, finally.

I've commented on his blog before, on this whole "let's redefine nearly every form of contraception as abortion" clusterfuck going through DHHS right now. Because, y'see, this isn't about restricting women's health care (even though that's what'll happen). That's not even a relevant issue! Even though that's what'll happen. No, this is about FEELINGS.

Been meaning to do this for a long time. Remember some of the old catchphrases that used to get slung around all the time? I'm finding that I miss chat RPs a great deal. There was a time a couple of years ago when I or someone else was starting one almost every night, and we seem to have lost that momentum.

If we could get people together sometime this week, who else would be interested in starting to do more of the casual chat stuff again? Am I the only one who liked doing that?

So recently I tripped across the word "seneschal," incidentally as the game The Riddle Of Steel's term for, basically, a GM. And I realized that I had seen the word before, somewhere, most likely in a different game of some sort. Where was it?

Google is no help; I get links to the SCA, references to In Nomine, and blurbs about Vampire: The Masquerade, as well as a billion and a quarter pages that tell ...
