The fires of the column die down as a shape falls out of the remaining embers. The location was known to this creature, which was why he had chosen it. He could only teleport to places he had previous been... and the need for escape gave him little time to think of anywhere else.

(Note: These events take place on the same day that the Pit Lord Elite, or whatever they are now, left Doma city.)

Boreas, or 'Ree', was reclining comfortably in the back room of the Sow's Ear, their usual rondevue bar in Doma, and waiting for his lieutenants to arrive. His little expirement in crime had been going for only a hand full of days, and already they had made a fair deal of money. But ...

Here is a fic I wrote, inspired by recent events and my having read Maus, a great piece of literature. I applaud anyone who has read it. Like some seem to do with Fics, I have taken some liberties, and plan to take more. Constructive Criticism would be appreciated. But the fact that this is read at all would be even more appreciated.

A shot rang out as the last of the zombie horde fell. The room that this small scale war had taken place in was littered with the bodies of the undead, blood was just about everywhere that blood could be. On the old dusty couch, on an antique lamp, on a broken 50's era television set, on the very cobweb covered bed in this room, and most importantly... all over the fuckin' ...

For a while now I've been wanting to rewrite the Hit, taking out the strange and just plain crappy bits so it flows better. I would appreciate help from others, either in form of actual writing (I imagine a few of us could decide on a writing style and trade off as we get tired) or in proofreading.
