RPGWW Recruitement ad on the RPG Directory

I was chatting with Ashley not too long ago about looking for a steampunk RP when she linked me to the RPG Directory. I asked her if RPGWW was advertised and she it was not. I thought that it would be a good idea, she agreed and a few days later, lo, with her help I drafted an ad based on their template.

We'd like some input from all ya'll (a more encompassing form of ...

A Series of More than Minor Inconveniences

Summary
The characters are asked to go to a ruined bookstore in Chaucer, Doma to retrieve a set of mage’s spellbooks. The store owner lies incapacitated in a local temple after a riot went wrong. The store is in a perilous state and he wants his prize set of books back before either the building collapses completely or undesirables raid it.

Chaucer is a bustling town and popular crossroads; many merchants come through on their ...

Advice for Newcomer

So, I'm gradually working my way through the lore of Gaera. However, there are certainly plenty of places, and I'm having trouble finding a suitable origin for the character I have in the works. That said, I'm looking for some suggestions on the geographical origins of a half-elf sorceror come bard.

I don't need any bio ideas currently, as I've kind of already got some stuff floating about, but I need somewhere to afix it ...

I've been RPing since I was fifteen or so, which by now is shockingly half a decade ago, and I'm look forwards to seeing what you guys do here. Most of my experience is play by post forum freeform, DnD, GURPS, WoD, and various other tabletop homebrews as well as the usual computer game action. Other than that, hello and I look forwards to ...

Ruby Quest

Yeah.

Some of you might be aware that I from time to time frequent /tg/, traditional games, on 4chan.

Well, having had nothing better to do for a little while, I stumbled upon this. Ruby Quest. A fucked up Adventure game in the spirit of Problem Sleuth, but absolutely wonderful. Main point of attraction? The cast is all from Animal Crossings. Or so I've been told.

Here's the info page for it. It's all pretty ...

Death Penalty Ban in New Mexico

So, in New Mexico, there's a death penalty discussion going on.

The fact that the death penalty system is one of the most glaring and most tragic examples of institutionalized racism around wasn't enough to get people talking about getting rid of it. The fact that it reduces reporting of sex crimes by discouraging molestation victims from turning in criminals, and provides an incentive to rapists to kill their victims isn't enough to bother too ...

Purple Prose for the Lose

This was amazing. And it got better and better.

So, let's pretend it's pretty late and you're doing a little light reading before bed, as you sometimes do. This book is one that you bought used probably fifteen years ago and it has sat on your shelf since then. Now, you've decided to read it and within the first page you realize it's one of those fantasy novels, written by a man who wants to ...
