Anime Expo 2005

Shiranai's post reminded me of this, and a good thing, because to get the cheapest all-day price, you gotta register before Jan 1.

I figure with all the con talk that's been going on here, we might as well tackle this one as well.

I went to AX02 and 03, (obviously couldn't go this year) and I'm planning to go again in '05, possibly cosplaying again as someone from Bleach.

In any case, I know ...

Otakon 2005? Information I just checked out...

http://www.otakon.com/

Place: Baltimore, Maryland
Dates: August 19-21, 2005
Price: $50 at the con. Pre-registration highly suggested (see below).

"For the first time in our existence, Otakon is announcing that we will cap our attendance. For Otakon 2005, we will limit our memberships to 22,000.

"This action is necessary primarily for reasons of safety and crowd control. We are approaching the physical limits of our space, which...raises the possibility that a cap will be ordered by ...

A discussion topic. Or. A post ya thoughts topic.

Read the question somewhere else and apprently it sparked off this great debate, or at least was interesting to most of the people involved. Myself I don't have too much to say on it but others might and may even find it interesting so here goes.

What keeps you going?

That age old question of "Why do you go through each day?" Do you do it because you believe better things will come? Do you ...

"The Christmas Day Kitten" -- watching death

I watched someone die today.

This isn't a bid for sympathy, or a pity me post. I'm not even particularly torn up, in fact. It's just

I've never watched someone die before. It was very, very strange.

You see, my granma was diagnosed with "pre-cancer" around September or so. And about every few weeks I kept being told "Granma's worse." Lately, it's been about every day.

Well, Mom faught so that Granma could get some ...

Remember the good old days?

Does anyone remember the good old days or gaming and anime watching? Before things got stupid and corrupted? This topic is for the angry old gamers like me who wish somethings didn't change or who just want to complain about todays anime or gaming related problems.

List some of your favorite games or anime. Ones you dislike. Or even what you think should be changed. I hope this becomes a popular post.

Fun with College Essays!

I was talking about this in the chat, and someone said to just go ahead and post it here.

Well! I have 2 days left before the deadline, and due to my own super laziness, have just now finished the 3 essays I need to write for the University of California colleges. Actually, I haven't even truly finished all of them, because I can't decide which one should get the "Extended Answer" of 600 words. ...

Sugoicon 2004

Ah, Sugoicon. The convention. The tradition. The thing.

The annual excuse for RPGWWers to get together, watch movies and anime, play cards, yell, bite, headbutt, buy things, eat pocky, and spread the love of corn.

Things started this year around 5:30-ish in the morning when my Mom and I got up and went to pick up Chris from the Greyhound bus station at 6. We eat on the way back, and when we get home ...

Regarding Saddam Hussein

There was a massive hullabaloo over his capture, and then he disappeared completely from the news reports. So, to anyone whose knowledge is greater than mine:

What ever happened to the guy?

So, I haven't been here recently.

Well, there's a reason for that. First, there were family troubles...most of you already know about that, but in case you don't, it was being discussed where I would live for the next two years of my life. It ended up being Ohio. But I digress.
First, there were family troubles. Then I fell ill for a bit, got better, was ill again. School started up, I got busy...

And now my computer is violently ...

Sugoicon 2004

You knew it was coming. :o

This anime convention takes place in Covington, KY, November 19-21. The website is at http://www.sugoicon.org/.

For those interested, I will be renting out a guest apartment (not a hotel room) at my complex, a short drive from the convention center, on the nights of the 18 through the 21. THIS MEANS: I can provide lodgings for anyone, within reason, going to the con (NOT transportation).

So, I would like ...
