I would like to know what you all think about magic in general (pertaining, obviously, to non RL stuff). What's the general story behind magic? How does it work? What's involved in the use of magic? Can anyone use it? Is it a force of nature independant of people, or is it an extension of the caster? ...

I can Babelfish it--if someone has actually studied the language, your help would be appreciated.
