Divination

I'm curious as to how many people here might practice divination, either with tarot, runes, or, hell, even aeromancy.

I'm primarily a runic folk, thanks largely to Diane, but I'm trying to pick up Tarot. I'd love to know some good spreads for either. There's also the off chance that someone might be familiar with other divination sources (though the 8-ball is a debatable divination source)!

N11

So, yesterday, in one of the classes that I'm captioning this quarter, there was a guest speaker who was talking about the services provided by calling 211. I don't have time to get into the details this morning, but basically they can set you up with any community services you might need. It was pretty interesting, and it got me thinking. Now, of course we're all familiar with 911 emergency services and 411 directory assistance, ...

HEY PEOPLE WHO KNOW THINGS ABOUT COMPUTERS:

Why the hell isn't my home network working? On my laptop, I have a program that allows me to join a network and share files with Priam, for chrissakes, but everything I've tried over the past few days to get my damn wireless to put together a network has failed. Any ideas?

Here's some information:

One computer has a wireless card, the other is plugged directly into the wireless router.

Sharing has worked with these ...

Programming for the borderline retarded

OKAY, so here's what's going on. Every now and then my muse lets me know that I haven't done anything particularly creative or productive lately and starts bitching about whatever it was she was bitching about last time we had that conversation. Anyway, the point is recently I've been feeling like doing something productive, which in my case traditionally means web design. Last time I did this I focused on style. This time around, I've ...

TRUST POTION

This was shared in my Science, Technology and Society class. I'm actually still in class, but I didn't want to forget.

Everything on this site is wonderful.

Also, it implies that men need this more. After all, women are inherently trustworthy. No woman in all her days has every deliberately deceived another human being. We don't need this, but you menfolk take note. <p>-------------------------

1904 Diary

This is an interesting thread that's been going on over at SA for the last couple of weeks. Someone bought a diary a guy kept back in 1904, and they've been scanning and transcribing pages from it for the forums there. The forums are open at the moment, so you all should be able to read it unregistered.

forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2015715

It's kind of cool to be able to get an actual first-hand accounting of society at ...

the zeke.site is dead

Zeke.site directories are no longer directly browsable.

Since the majority of zeke is set up to be navigated this way, the site is largely non-functional. That which remains is defunct, given the Wiki.

No files have been deleted--they're still all there. I have a txt file with a list of all other file paths to the website. I'm not uploading it--I'm still looking into the options for making the site functional again. But for those ...
